FG Commences Payment Of Conditional Cash Grants
The Federal Government has commenced the disbursement of the Presidential Cash Grants (PCG).
Doris Anite, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, disclosed this through her official Instagram handle.
She said some of the programme’s beneficiaries had already received their grants, making the first phase of the disbursement successful.
“The President Ahmed Bola Tinubu administration understands the importance of this grants in supporting the livelihood and businesses of Nigerians, which is why we are committed to a smooth and transparent process.”
“The ministry, in partnership with telecommunications providers, have successfully resolved the initial delays in sending out short codes for NIN Verification and application continuation.
“By April 19th 2024 a significant disbursement will be made to a substantial number of verified applicants. It is essential to understand that disbursement are ongoing and that all applicants will receive the grants on that 19th April 2024, if they don’t get it that day, I assure all applicants that they will definitely receive this grant in subsequent phases.
“We ask for your patience as we continue to process the applications with utmost diligence and fairness. The phased disbursement plan has been designed to ensure each application is given consideration it deserves,” Anite wrote on her Instagram page.
President Tinubu launched the renewed hope conditional cash transfer to 15 million households on October 17, 2023.
