Easter: MWUN Urges Christians To Emulate Exemplary Life Of Jesus

As Christians all over the world celebrate Easter, the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) has urged christian faithful to imbibe the exemplary life of Jesus Christ, which includes showing love and forgiving one another.

Speaking through a press statement, President -General of MWUN, Comrade Adewale Adeyanju congratulated Christians on the Easter celebrations, which is in commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Adeyanju noted that it is only when we live righteously as Christians that we can accommodate ourselves using Christ as a role model of peace and a symbol of love, who did not segregate among all men while on earth.

While greeting Christians and leaders of Churches in the country, Comrade Adeyanju re- emphasised that as Christians, we must at all times be our brothers’ keepers in all situations no matter our descent, tribe, region or political affiliation putting into account that we are all one in the likeness of God’s image.
He said we must allow the spirit of the resurrection of Christ be our guide for that is the reason for the Easter celebration.
