LASUTH Receives Intensive Care Ambulance From SSA To The President 

The Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), on Monday 2nd of August, 2021, received with excitement the gift of an Intensive Care Ambulance from the Office of Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This gesture was facilitated by Her Excellency, Mrs. Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire,  a former Deputy Governor of Lagos State.

The donation was made in line with SDGs to support the efforts of the State Government and other relevant stakeholders to provide intensive care facilities for urgent treatment of critically ill patients.

While receiving the donation, the Chief Medical Director, Professor Adetokunbo O. Fabamwo described Mrs. Orelope-Adefulire as a true benefactor of LASUTH who consistently extends the hand of fellowship to the hospital. He recounted how through the SSA, LASUTH had been enjoying solar power, solar street lights, an ambulance as well as in the hospital, adding that a 120 bedded ward for the hospital was in the offing.

The Chief Medical Director appreciated the kind gesture as he specially thanked Mrs. Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire for the Intensive Care Ambulance, which came as a huge surprise and for all the previous donations the hospital had received from her office.

He also expressed appreciation for the effort of Dr. Adebiyi and Mr. Kitan who represented the company that supplied the ambulance.
