FOU Zone B, Kaduna Customs Makes Seizures Worth Over N51bn In Two Weeks

ln continuation of the fight against smuggling, the Federal Operations Unit Zone B Kaduna Customs has presented a record of its stewardship in the last two weeks, 22 March 2021 to 8 April 2021.

The Comptroller FOU Zone B Kaduna in a parly with  Journalists on Friday in his office at the FOU Zone B headquarters Kaduna revealed that the Unit made a total of 39 seizures within the period.

The seized items duty paid value is N51,499,799.58, the seizures include 801 bags of foreign parboiled rice in 50kg rice and 38 bags in 25kg of same item.

Also intercepted were 180 cartons of foreign spaghetti, 81 kegs of foreign vegetable oil, 74 cartons of foreign Giv and Eva foreign Soap, 48 bales of secondhand clothes, 28 cartons of Ginny Creamer and 8 vehicles (means of conveyance) seized amongst other contraband items.

Seizures were made by various patrol teams of the Unit at various locations in the Zone that comprise 10 states of the federation and the FCT.

Comptroller Hamisu once again reiterated his call for the public to partner with the Zone in its campaign to rid the country of smuggling.
