NSE ASI  Rises by 0.34% Amid Sustained Bullish Activity

The domestic equities market NSE  All Shaee Index further rose by 0.34 per cent amid sustained bargain hunting activity even as the Exchange printed 27 gainers as against seven losers at the close of trading session.

The year to date loss of the NSE ASI lowered to 5.3 per cent.

Similarly, the NSE Banking index appreciated the most by 1.07 per cent even as Tier 1 Banks give notice of submitting their audited H1 financial report by September ending.

Consequently, share prices of Zenith Bank, Access Bank, UBA and GT Bank rose by 0.60 per cent, 3.23 per cent,  4.80 per cent and 0.39 per cent respectively.

Also, the NSE Insurance and NSE Consumer Goods indices advanced by 0.80 per cent and 0.88 per cent respectively.

On the flip side, the NSE Industrial index moderated by 0.12 per cent while the NSE Oil/Gas index closed flat.

Meanwhile, the total volume of stocks traded increased by 255.56 per cent to 0.11 billion units.
