NCDC Reports 591 New COVID-19 Cases In Nigeria, Total Now 39,539
The total confirmed coronavirus infections in Nigeria now is 39,539 as a result of an additional 591 new cases recorded on Friday, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has said.
The agency, which made the announcement via its twitter handle Friday night, also provided the total number of deaths from the virus in the country as 845, while the number of recoveries has increased to 16,559.
Oyo State took the lead this time with 191 new cases, followed by Lagos with 168, FCT-61, Ondo-29, Osun-26, Ebonyi-24, Edo-23,, Ogun-14, Rivers-13, Akwa Ibom-12 and Kaduna-10.
Others are Katsina-6, Borno-4, Ekiti-3, Delta-3, Imo-3 and Niger-1.
