NCDC Confirms 260 New COVID-19 Cases
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed 260 new cases of the coronavirus in the country, bringing the total to 12,486.
The Health agency made the announcement of the new figure Sunday night, June 7 via its Twitter handle.
It also listed 12 fresh deaths now amounting to 354 and the discharge of 3,959 recovered patients across 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
As Nigeria enters community spread of the infections, Minister of Health, Osagie Enahire has warned that the country may soon run out of bed spaces at isolation centres, even as Lagos State echosthe same warning few days ago.
Meanwhile the global confirmed deaths from coronavirus has exceeded 400,000.
