UBA Highlights Refreshed Mobile App To Meet Customers Individual Needs

United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA), has highlighted the uniqueness of its refreshed mobile app targeted at meeting customers special and individual needs..

Speaking at a virtual media conference in Lagos on Monday, UBA Group Head, Digital Banking, Sampson Aneke,  said the bank’s foresight led it into developing apps and channels that make banking convenient to its numerous customers.

According to him UBA was not under pressure as other financial institutions during the COVID-19 lockdown because the capacity of UBA e-channels app  was able to the pressure.

He said the bank has gradually   established digital dominance across Africa.

Aneke presenting recent innovations and channels of the bank said the refreshed mobile app is loaded with features the makes banking easy and exciting to customers while keeping an eye on security of the customers money an information.

He enumerated some of the features to include; new interface, group transfers, loans- users can seamlessly apply for loans, ln-app live chat  and live style services where users can order for food and cinema tickets among others.

He said COVID-19 has taught the world about digital and what to do, but according to him UBA had begun to deepen and expand its digital capacity before the ourbreak of coronavirus.

“Many banks are playing in the digital space but the difference is the outcome, the users testimonies. That is the difference the result.

” We have provided the best value for our customers through a more interactive and a more user-friendly interface that will give customers all over Africa to access banking services  from the comfort of their homes and offices,’’ he said.

Group Head, Consumer and Retail Banking, Mr Jude Anele, named more exciting products that the bank had introduced to its customers.

“We have come up with a proposition for our kids, those that are from ages one to 12, mostly in primary schools.

“In the space of financial inclusion, the best place to start is to catch them young and also from the point of view of financial education which is very critical,’’ he said.

According to him other products in UBA profuct basket include, UBA Nexr Gen,  UBA Bumper Account, Target Account, SME Support Banking and Diaspora Banking, targeting  Africans legally residing in other countries.

He said with innovative channels and apps in UBA, users and customers alke will continue to get uninterrjpted and convienent srvices.
