FRSC Boss Pledges Support for EFCC

The Zonal Commanding Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Port Harcourt, Mr. Kingsley Agomoh has called for the strengthening of collaboration between the FRSC and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. Agomoh who made the appeal during a working visit to the Port Harcourt Zonal Headquarters of the EFCC said the FRSC was open to using its database to assist EFCC investigation activities especially in dealing with the issue of identity theft. “We have a well established database and we can help the EFCC to authenticate the identity of a suspect of crime through examination of the drivers licence,” he said.

He disclosed that the Corps has been able to digitize the vehicle registration process, adding that it was essential for buyers of used vehicles to inform the Board of Internal Revenue and FRSC, and have a proper change of ownership effected on the platform.

Welcoming the guest, the EFCC Zonal Head,Usman Imam, thanked Agomoh for his humility and willingness to improve the synergy between the two agencies. He promised to work closely with the Corps in the overall interest of the country.
