SHACMAN Debuts With Affordable Fire Trucks

To address the issues of the recent rampant fire outbreak across states, Transit Support Services (TSS), has introduced SHACMAN Fire Trucks.

SHACMAN fire trucks which was added to SHACMAN Nigeria range of products; tractor heads, dump/tipper trucks, mixer and lorry trucks, comprises SHACMAN F2000 and L3000 with an upper-body of 14,000 and 10,000 litres, respectively.

The new fire truck models which are built with 14,000 litres capacity: made up of 10,000 litres water tank with 4,000 litres foam tank; and another 10,000 litres capacity, consisting of 8,000 litres water tank and 2,000 liter foam tank; are equipped with high quality carbon steel plate and anti-rust treatment. They can rotate 360 degrees and have water maximum range of 60m and foam maximum range of 55m.

The products also have suction depth and time of greater than or equal to 7m and less than or equal to 35s, the fire-fighting pump pressure is given as 1.0Mpa with flux of water and foam 60liters/s and 48liters/s respectively. Each comes with 26m fire hose, a sprinkler of max 10m and a horizontal rotation angle of 360 degrees which make them very efficient for fire-fighting operations.

Already, Ogun and Oyo states have procured the new SHACMAN fire trucks for the State Fire Service in Abeokuta and the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria for use at the Ibadan Airport respectively, the Nigerian Army is also not left out.

According to the General Manager, TSSL, Mr. Dave Chukwudulue, “A new SHACMAN standard fire truck model equipped with 10,000L water and 2,000L foam tank, was evolved, this new model incorporates the capacity and agility of the two preceding models, with a combined water and foam tanks capacity of 12,000L on a 4×2 truck chassis” he said.

“The SHACMAN fire truck light-weight, highly rigid body and suspension will help in reducing to the barest minimum; deaths, injuries and economic losses”, Chukwudulue added.
