Buruji Kasamu’s Death Shocking Says Uzodimma

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has described as shocking and sad the sudden and unexpected death of Senator Buruji Kasamu on Saturday, August 8, 2020.

Senator Kasamu reportedly died from complications from Coronavirus at age 62 and was buried on Sunday in line with Islamic rites.

Governor Uzodimma while reacting to the death of Senator Kasamu said Nigeria have lost one of their generous souls who would be sorely missed.

According to him apart from the deceased not failing to make his voice heard as a Senator from Ogun State, he had an unusual attachment to his constituents which they will not forget in a hurry because of his kind heartedness and generous spirit.

Uzodimma commiserated with Senator Buruji’s widow and other family members, the Governor and people of Ogun State and urged them to have solace in the fact that the deceased led a good life and touched many lives when he was alive.

The Imo State Governor also prayed God to grant Senator Buruji’s soul eternal repose and to the family, the fortitude to bear the big loss.
